The Volkswagen Polo, T-Cross and T-Roc models have been bolstered with new, equipment-rich, United edition trims.

The United models are distinguished by subtle badging, and bring bespoke styling, extra equipment and significantly increased value.

They are based on SE trims for the T-Cross and T-Roc, and Match trim for the Polo – three already well-appointed specifications, which all feature App-Connect smartphone mirroring, alloy wheels and leather-trimmed, three-spoke multifunctional steering wheels and gear knobs.

The on-the-road recommended retail prices for the United edition models start at £17,350 for the Polo, £20,410 for the T-Cross, and £23,550 for the T-Roc. These prices are below those of the Match and SE cars on which they are based, and with equipment factored in these new editions represent a value boost of up to £1,760, depending on model and engine.

United cars – across all three models – receive bespoke badging and door sill protectors, ‘Dublin’ alloy wheels in 15-inch, 16-inch or 17-inch sizes, depending on the vehicle, voice control function and a Winter Pack – comprising heated front seats and a low washer fluid warning light.

Additionally, the T-Cross and T-Roc benefit from a set of heated windscreen washer jets, while the Polo receives the bonus of an 8.0-inch Discover Navigation touchscreen infotainment system, a Light and Sight Pack (bringing an automatic dimming interior rear view mirror, automatic headlights, manual coming/automatic leaving home lighting function and rain sensor). On the inside, all three feature bespoke grey and blue seat fabric, brushed stainless steel pedals and decorative interior inserts, as well as front and rear carpet mats.

The T-Cross and T-Roc additionally have rear tinted glass from the B-pillar backwards fitted as standard. The T-Cross United edition also gains front and rear parking sensors. The largest of the trio, the T-Roc, boasts puddle lights displaying United branding on the floor below when the door is open.

Two petrol engines are available on each model. For the Polo, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder 80PS EVO and 95PS TSI engines are available, both with 5-speed manual gearboxes, with the latter benefitting from the option of a 7-speed DSG. The T-Cross United is available with a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder 95PS engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox, or an engine of the same displacement with 115PS and a choice between a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG. The T-Roc United is available with a three-cylinder, 115PS TSI engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox, or a four-cylinder, 150PS TSI EVO unit, with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission.

Sarah Cox, Head of Marketing at Volkswagen UK, said: “The Polo, T-Cross and T-Roc are three integral models in the Volkswagen UK family, and find tens of thousands of happy customers per year. Not only do the United models build upon the champion offering of those models, but they represent considerable value savings, with their affordable pricing positions and generous equipment boosts.”
