Volkswagen is shaking up its Golf line-up with a new Match model being introduced to replace the SE and SE Navigation trim levels.
The new Match versions boast front fog lamps, a Discover navigation system, a different alloy wheel design and tinted rear windows as standard.
The hatchback model is priced from £20,150 for a 1.0-litre TSI and VW states that with the additional equipment it offers a saving of £300 compared with the SE Navigation model.
In addition, the Golf Estate Match is priced from £22,385 and the Golf SV Match from £22,745 and they also offer considerable savings over the models they replace.
Golf Match models are available with a wide choice of powertrains, including the 1.0-litre TSI 115PS petrol; the 1.5-litre TSI with outputs of either 130PS or 150PS and the 115PS 1.6-litre and 150PS 2.0-litre TDI diesels.
The German manufacturer is also enhancing the specification of its hot Golf GTI Performance and R models with the introduction of keyless entry, a lane assist system and a rear-view camera as standard on five-door models.
