Vauxhall announces new Corsa prices
July 24, 2023
Vauxhall has revealed UK pricing and specification for the new Corsa, Britain’s best-selling supermini.
The latest car will be available in a choice of three trim levels called Design, GS and Ultimate with prices starting from £19,625.
The latest Corsa will feature Vauxhall’s bold and pure Vizor front end across the range as well as a number of additional styling and technology improvements, while fully electric models are available with Vauxhall’s next-generation battery technology, improving both range and performance.
The Corsa becomes the final model in Vauxhall’s passenger car range to adopt the distinctive Vizor front end – a single smooth panel that sits between the LED headlights, housing the advanced Vauxhall driver aids and safety technologies, with the Griffin logo at the centre.
Other styling updates include 17-inch black alloy wheels, as well as a black roof, black badging and black Corsa lettering on GS and Ultimate models.
All models are fitted with LED headlights as standard. Ultimate trim features Vauxhall’s IntelliLux LED Pixel Matrix light technology, which automatically cuts out oncoming road users from the beam, ensuring drivers have a clear view of the road even in dark and poor conditions without dazzling others.
Inside, there is an upgraded infotainment system that includes a new 10-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which can be accessed wirelessly on certain models.
A 3.5-inch digital instrument cluster is fitted as standard on petrol Design models. This is upgraded to a seven-inch display on all other trims. On petrol GS, Ultimate and Electric 156PS models, the display also benefits from new graphics.
In front of the instrument display is an updated steering wheel design, while new front sports seats are available on GS and above. These are finished in Alcantara on Ultimate trim, which also adds heating and massage functions.
New for Corsa Electric is Vauxhall’s next-generation 51kWh battery. This, combined with an upgraded electric motor now producing 115kW (156PS), results in the New Corsa Electric delivering more performance whilst achieving 246 miles (WLTP) between charges.
From August 3, buyers will be able to choose between two powertrain options on the Corsa Electric, with the existing 100kW (136PS) powertrain remaining available, which achieves up to 222 miles between charges (WLTP). For the first time, this powertrain option will be available in Design trim as well as GS.
All new Corsa Electric models come as standard with an 11kW on-board charger, allowing for a 0 to 100 per cent charge to be completed in 5 hours and 15 minutes. The same full charge using a 7kW home wallbox is estimated to take 7 hours and 30 minutes. Supporting 100kW rapid charging, a typical 10-80 per cent charge will take just 30 minutes.
The car will also be available from launch with a choice of efficient 1.2-litre petrol engines. Customers can choose from a naturally-aspirated 75PS engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, a turbocharged 100PS engine with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox, or a 130PS unit available as an eight-speed automatic.
A new 48-volt hybrid powertrain delivering improved efficiency without the need to plug in will be available later this year.
The Vauxhall Corsa finished 2022 as the UK’s top-selling supermini and second best-selling car overall, and topped the overall sales charts in 2021. It is also the best-selling car in its segment so far this year, while the Corsa Electric is the best-selling Small Electric Car (Electric B-Hatch), according to the latest SMMT figures.
Orders are open now, with first deliveries in Q4 2023.
