Race is on to buy an Abarth 124GT model
September 22, 2018
The race is on to get your name down for one of just 50 flagship versions of Fiat’s 124GT models.

The Abarth-badged car, that was launched at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, is now on sale in the UK priced from £3,625, but just 50 cars are being made available to British buyers.
The Abarth 124GT boasts a carbon fibre roof, 17-inch ultra-light alloys, a pitch perfect Bose sound system and a visibility pack that includes dusk and rain sensors, rear parking sensors and adaptive front LED headlights.
The carbon fibre roof weighs just 16kgs, so the car maintains the optimum 50:50 weight distribution of the 124. This removable hard top is lined on the inside to guarantee thermal insulation and soundproofing and has a large rear window with defroster.
Other defining features include a tuned exhaust system and a mechanical self-locking differential for greater traction.
Power comes from Fiat’s 1.4-litre, 170PS turbocharged engine which offers a 0-62mph sprint time of 6.8 seconds and maximum speed of 144mph. An automatic gearbox is available as an option.
