Pricing and specification for the new Jeep Renegade have been announced, ahead of the striking B-segment SUV’s arrival here in September.

And with a starting price of £19,200 for the Sport 1.0 GSE T3 120hp version, the new Renegade blends on-road performance and off-road capability with outstanding value for money.

Building on the strengths which drove it to change a market crowded by crossovers and become the model that has delivered record-breaking sales for the Jeep brand in Europe, the new Renegade goes beyond limits to offer a new engine range developed to ensure maximum fuel efficiency and outstanding performance both on and off-road.

New three and four-cylinder turbo petrol engines debut on the Jeep Renegade – the new engine family includes a 1.0-litre delivering 120hp and 190Nm of torque and a 1.3-litre delivering 150hp or 180hp and 270Nm of torque. The engine offering also includes the updated 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engines with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), all of which are Euro 6d-TEMP/D compliant.

The engine range on the new 2019 Renegade can be paired with a six-speed manual, DDCT (Dual Dry Clutch Transmission) and nine-speed automatic transmissions for a smooth, comfortable driving experience.

The latest car also features a redesigned front-end delivering a more modern look thanks to a new front fascia, which now sports a cut-in silhouette 7-slot Jeep grille – similar to the Wrangler – new headlights and fog lights.

The exterior is completed by new wheels, which convey an exclusive appeal to the Renegade and further add to the endless possibilities of customisation offered to its customers. The new model year offers seven different wheel options – including 16-inch, 17-inch, 18-inch and 19-inch – with the latter introduced for the first time and exclusive to the Limited trim – all featuring special finishes.

The interiors display an authentic and modern look, in line with the DNA of the brand. The passenger compartment is characterised by an extreme attention to detail, innovative colour combinations, quality materials, high-tech contents, and practical and functional storage compartments.

Depending on trim level, new Jeep Renegade can be equipped with Uconnect 5-inch or Uconnect 8.4-inch NAV, which include touchscreens and easy-to-use features, and a more powerful processor with improved response capability. This allows for the driver to control the climate system, the sound system and much more directly from the Uconnect display, for additional safety while driving.

The new Jeep Renegade is available in two configurations, with two- or four-wheel drive. Legendary Jeep off-road capability is guaranteed by two advanced 4×4 systems, Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low which secure benchmark performance in all conditions.

Jeep Select-Terrain is integrated with four settings (Auto, default mode with rear axle disconnect; Snow, 4WD mode calibrated to reduce understeer; Sand and Mud, 4WD modes for maximising low-speed traction) for optimal response on all road surfaces.

New Renegade was developed to guarantee top level protection with several state-of-the-art safety systems, standard or optional, including six standard airbags and electronic stability control with electronic rollover mitigation. Now standard across the entire range are Lane Sense Departure Warning-Plus and Intelligent Speed Assist with Traffic Sign Recognition.

“The new Jeep Renegade has all the attributes of the last version, with a host of superb new features and a high level of standard equipment,” said Andrew Tracey, Marketing Director, Jeep UK. “Safety has been further enhanced and even greater fuel economy is offered thanks to some excellent new engines.

“I am delighted to announce pricing of this new MY19 Renegade and am also pleased to confirm that the car will be available with 5-3-5, our outstanding offer which consists of a five-year warranty, a three-year servicing programme, plus five years roadside assistance.”
