July 17, 2017
An all-new powerful Insignia GSi will be unveiled by Vauxhall at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September and the company claims it will deliver high levels of performance through all-wheel drive, a new chassis and Brembo brakes.
The Insignia GSi will be driven by a refined 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox, which can be operated via a paddle-shift on the steering wheel.
Exterior design updates include front chrome air intakes plus a rear spoiler for extra levels of downforce.
On the inside the vehicle boasts full-leather sports seats, a leather sports steering wheel and aluminium pedals.
The GSi’s chassis has been fine-tuned and developed on the iconic Nurburgring circuit in Germany and the vehicle is 160kg lighter than the mainstream Insignia.
The 2.0-litre engine in the GSi produces 260bhp and generates 400Nm of torque and Vauxhall is claiming a combined fuel consumption of 32.8mpg with carbon emissions of 197g/km.
