Mustang coming to the UK

December 11, 2013

For the first time in almost 50 years of production, the Ford Mustang muscle car will go on sale in Europe.
It will arrive in UK showrooms in 2015 and be available in right-hand drive, with a choice of both convertible and fastback.
Dubbed ‘a Mustang for the true driving enthusiast’ the car will not only be powered by Ford’s fiery 426bhp 5.0 litre V8 engine but will also be available with an all-new 2.3-litre EcoBoost unit.
The latter engine, which produces a hefty 309PS, is aimed at delivering turbocharged performance with the fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions that are so important to British drivers.
More than nine million Mustangs have been sold since it was first launched in 1964 and it is officially the world’s most ‘liked’ vehicle on Facebook.
Ford vice president Raj Nair said: “Ford Mustang inspires passion like no other car. The visceral look, sound and performance of Mustang resonate with people, even if they’ve never driven one.
“Mustang is definitely more than just a car – it is the heart and soul of Ford.”
