Nissan Murano 5dr

When you combine a perfect blend of 4×4 performance, looks, comfort and luxury then you are certainly on to a winner. And that’s just what Nissan has done with its Murano.

Boasting eye-catching good looks, the Murano really seems to tick all the boxes.

From the second you step into the cabin, the incredible level of luxury is immediately apparent. With leather upholstery throughout, a colour rear-view camera, a top-of-the-range Bose sound system, plus DVD and sat nav features, the quality is there in spades.

And the real bonus for any would-be buyers is these quality features all come as standard.

Many other companies charge extra for items like floor mats, but thankfully Nissan has seen sense and what you see is what you get.

The Murano supplied for my test drive boasted a 3.5-litre V6 engine, which whilst not being the most economical, delivered awesome power. The ease of the ride was enhanced by the very smooth six-speed automatic transmission. The drive was superb both in and around town and out on the more open road.

Nissan turned to California – the world leader on style – for the Murano’s design and those US flair gods didn’t disappoint as the vehicle certainly stands out in any busy car park. It boasts great lines but maintains a true rugged appearance at the same time.

The spacious cabin provides plenty of room for five adults to travel in style and as well as a large boot area there are numerous smaller storage compartments scattered throughout – even under floor ones. The rear seats offer a 60/40 split to increase load capacity even further.

And, as one would expect, Nissan has crammed the Murano with state-of-the-art quality safety specifications such as anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, traction control, numerous airbags and a first rate security system to keep away any unwanted visitors.

All in all, a fantastic all-rounder that leaves anyone lucky enough to drive it on a real high.
