Mercedes unveils two stunning roadsters
September 20, 2016
Mercedes-AMG has powered up its GT line-up with the introduction of two new open-top models – the AMG GT Roadster and the AMG GT C Roadster.
The new sports cars, with fabric soft tops, feature AMG traits such as lightweight and rigid aluminium body shell along with ultra-powerful V8 biturbo engines. The AMG GT Roadster has a power output of 476bhp and the AMG GT C Roadster takes that up to 557bhp.
The GT can sprint to 63mph in just 4.0 seconds and maxes out at 187mph while the GT C comes in at 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 196mph.
Both models come with a seven-speed gearbox with three transmission modes Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
The fabric roof on the two GTs takes approximately 11 seconds to open or close and can be operated at speeds of up to 31mph.
The latest arrivals means the Mercedes-AMG GT family has now increased to five. Prices are yet to be announced.
