Mazda2 gets all technical
June 7, 2017
Mazda has increased the appeal of its popular Mazda2 supermini with a new Tech Edition model which goes on sale from July 1.
There will be just 750 Tech Edition cars available and, as the name suggests, it focuses on delivering additional technology.
The model is based on the £14,695 1.5-litre 90PS SE-L Nav variant, but the Tech Edition benefits from the addition of 16-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, climate control, auto lights and rain-sensing wipers, plus privacy glass. All this extra kit is added for a price premium of £300 over the SE-L Nav.
Customers also get the free choice of Dynamic Blue Mica, Snowflake White Pearlescent or Jet Black Mica paint.
One of the many highlights on the updated Mazda2 is the arrival of G-Vectoring Control technology and improvements to the suspension and steering.
Now exclusively offered with Mazda’s 1.5-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engine, the simplified nine-model Mazda2 range is priced from £12,695 for the 75PS SE version.
