Mazda improves its CX-5 line-up
February 21, 2014
Mazda’s stylish CX-5 crossover line-up has been revamped and there are now 20 upgraded models in the range.
They all incorporate the Japanese brand’s fuel-saving SKYACTIV technology and every model comes with revised suspension featuring re-tuned dampers, bushes and stabilisers which help to improve the overall driving experience.
Manual transmission CX-5 models are available with a new clutch restart system that allows engine restart by depressing the clutch – within three seconds of stalling – without the need to use the engine start/stop button.
And automatic models now have a straight-shift gate, as fitted to the all-new Mazda3.
In the case of SE-L Lux and Sport grade models there’s a memory function for the powered driver’s seat and a six-way powered passenger seat as standard.
Black leather trim is fitted as standard but there’s now the option of Light Stone leather costing £200 extra, while fresh exterior colours are Blue Reflex Mica and Deep Crystal Blue Mica.
The line-up is priced from £21,595 to £29,595 and buyers can select from 165PS petrol or 150/175PS diesel engines, six-speed manual or auto transmissions, three trim levels plus two or four-wheel drive.
