Kia Magentis 2.0 CRDi TR 4dr
Kia seems to have come up trumps with its Magentis model which offers all the comfort of a luxury saloon combined with the economy figures of a family car.
In fact, this is a car that will leave rival manufacturers shaking in their tyre treads as it competes very effectively on all counts.
It is brimming with classy technology and most of the features are fitted as standard unlike some rivals who charge a thousand here and a thousand there for luxuries such as floor mats!
In fact, mentioning no names, I tested a car the other day with £18k worth of extras.
Bearing in mind the standard Magentis can be snapped up at a little over £17, it indicates just what value you can get for your cash.
Among the classy features on the Magentis, it is fitted with quality chunky tyres that can withstand almost any obstacle. I tested this theory out accidently by hitting a pothole at speed, but thankfully the tyre was strong enough to prevent any blowout or lack of steering control.
But the plaudits don’t end there. Believe me, there is a whole lot more to be discovered.
The Magentis boasts an impressive list of classy features, including tinted windows, rear parking sensors, cruise control, a CD player with MP3 compatibility and six speakers plus an excellent air-con system.
The part-leather-trimmed seats are very comfortable and easily adjusted to find the ideal driving position and there is even a lumbar support feature. Back seat passengers are treated to plenty of leg space too.
The boot area is plentiful and there are numerous smaller storage compartments throughout the cabin.
Whilst not being a supercar, the Magentis handles extremely well delivering a very smooth drive both in and around town and on the more open road.
The safety spec is also impressive with anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, six airbags and plenty more.
All in all, the Magentis delivers an affordable, comfortable and, above all, safe ride for all involved.
