Journey
With bold lines, good looks and plenty of traditional Dodge chrome on show, the Journey is quite a looker. Add great performance and a good spec line-up and this is a vehicle to take on some of the big guns.

Dodge Journey 2.0 CRD RT Auto
BIG and beefy – that’s one way to describe the mighty Dodge Journey.
The Americans are renowned for producing a whole lot of car for a relatively low outlay and the Journey is no exception to that rule.
Brimming with classy spec, it is designed to carry seven people in style and certainly lives up to that all-singing, all-dancing billing.
Easily identified from a distance by the distinctive Dodge grille and macho ram’s head emblem, the Journey has a rough and ready, rugged appearance, but don’t be fooled, there are a number of attractive and subtle touches too.
The 2.0-litre diesel-powered engine delivers plenty of oomph and despite being a little heavy on the steering at times, it offers excellent fuel economy for its size.
The standard spec on the Journey is excellent with a rear parking camera, leather trimmed heated seats and a multi-functional trip computer to name but a few.
Then for a little bit extra cash you can add an entertainment package which includes an 8-inch colour screen that drops down from the ceiling, plus headphones so second row passengers can enjoy DVDs.
Despite feeling a little bulky in and around town the excellent all-round visibility made driving and parking quite simple.
Then out on the open road, the Journey eats up the ground with ease although at times it was shifted sideways by unexpected gusts of wind.
The safety features are very comprehensive with anti-lock brakes, hill start assist, advanced multi-stage front airbags, electronic stability programme and plenty more.
All in all, the Journey is an outstanding vehicle for the driver who likes to live life to the full and still have a few quid in the bank at the end of the day.
