Jetta jets in for Christmas
August 14, 2014
Boasting a new-look front and rear along with a revised interior, the latest version of Volkswagen’s mid-sized Jetta saloon is on its way with first deliveries in time for Christmas.
It will be priced from £18,815 for a 1.4-litre petrol and £20,095 for the diesel – an increase of about £800 over the outgoing model.
The range-topping 150ps 2.0-litre diesel GT with VW’s six-speed semi-automatic DSG gearbox will carry a price-tag of £24,715.
The new Jetta boasts sleeker design cues and that results in improved aerodynamics. In fact, the 110ps 2.0-litre diesel version now has reduced emissions of 105g/km and can deliver combined fuel efficiency of 70.6mpg.
All models will feature stop/start systems and comply with the latest EU6 emissions legislation.
Options being made available for the first time on the new Jetta include blind spot monitors while top specification GT trim also includes ambient lighting.
Three trim levels are on offer – S, SE and GT – and standard equipment includes electronic stability control, electric windows, a digital radio and air conditioning.
