MUSIC lovers looking for pitch perfect clarity should check out the latest model from Lexus.
For the Japanese brand has just released a new version of its luxury RX 450h model and one of the extra pieces of kit on board is a Mark Levinson premium 7.1 surround sound system as standard.
Even with the bonus of the bespoke audio package – which has a £1,000 list price – and a set of machined and shaded 19-inch alloy wheels, the price tag for the new Advance model is unchanged, matching its predecessor at £48,495.
The sound system boasts 15 speakers including a 200mm subwoofer for the most precise reproduction of vocals and instrumentals. And the package also includes a DVD player, rear-view camera and Lexus’s computer mouse-like remote touch audio and navigation control system.
Lexus Premium Navigation and Bluetooth for hands-free phone calls and audio streaming are also provided.
The asking price also includes the choice of either a sunroof or fixed panoramic roof, along with Smart Entry and Start, parking sensors, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, heated eight-way adjustable front seats and rear privacy glass.
The RX 450h is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and powerful electric motor to produce a maximum 295bhp for 0-62mph acceleration of less than eight seconds. Combined fuel economy is 44.8mpg and carbon emissions are 145g/km.
