Birthday edition for Jeep Wrangler
July 18, 2016
Jeep’s highly successful and ultra-popular Wrangler line-up is getting an upgrade with new engines and there is even a special edition 75th birthday model.
The SUV’s existing 2.8-litre diesel engine has been updated to meet Euro 6 emission standards while the vehicle has been given a series of important and valuable updates.
In addition, and to celebrate the iconic 4×4 brand’s 75th birthday, Jeep has also revealed details of a 75th Anniversary limited edition Wrangler for the UK. The car was first revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The 75th Anniversary is based on the Overland level model and features several key differences, including unique exterior styling and part-leather interiors. The outside has a bronze-finished front grille and 18-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured dual top, Mopar slush mats, unique bronze and orange Jeep badging, and a special 75th Anniversary badge.
It comes in either Bright White, Solid Black or Sarge Green paint finishes and inside it gets “1941” embossed leather heated seats in black or saddle brown and tangerine bronze accents on air vents and grab handles. The special edition is also fitted with sat nav plus an Alpine premium sound system and deep tinted sunscreen glass.
Prices for the birthday models start at £34,765 for the 2-door 2.8 CRD Auto rising to £36,435 for the four-door 3.6 V6 Auto.
Elsewhere in the line-up Wrangler Sahara, Overland and Rubicon models have been given new kit, including front side airbags, deep-tint sunscreen glass, 18-inch Rubicon satin alloy wheels, Mopar slush mats and black, heated leather seats.
The Jeep Wrangler range now starts at £31,840 for the two-door Sahara 2.8 CRD Auto, rising to £34,910 for the four-door Rubicon 3.6 V6 Auto.
