Honda’s new safety system
April 3, 2013
Safety is an issue that all manufacturers take very seriously and now Honda has developed an accident avoidance support system called City-Brake Active which operates when a car is travelling at speeds of less than 18mph.
By using a laser radar which is installed in the upper part of the windscreen, the car detects when a collision is imminent and issues audio and visual warnings to the driver before automatically applying the brakes.
The system will make its debut on the new Honda Fit model, due to go on sale in Japan later this year.
