Mitsubishi sales flying
June 13, 2011
In May 2010, Mitsubishi’s total passenger car sales were 489 units, but in 2011 this rose to 888, an increase of 399 units in what is still a very unsettled economic climate.
Mitsubishi’s “Intelligent Motion” environmental range, including the ASX and Outlander crossover vehicles, are also out-selling expectations and making their own contribution to what is turning into a great 2011. The Outlander increased sales by 195% on the same time last year, with 11% of this growth coming from the new 2WD variant.
Mitsubishi dealer, Roy Hitchman, managing director at Oak Tree Garages Ltd, Binley, Coventry, said: “Mitsubishi has always proved a very popular brand with a wide variety of quality vehicles offering plenty of cross-sector appeal.
“Despite the economic situation, buyers will always remain faithful to a brand that has been thoroughly tried and tested and that’s why Mitsubishi sales figures are so strong.”
