Driving away in a Beamer for less than £7 almost sounds too good to be true, but thanks to a joint venture between BMW and Streetcar, the UK’s largest car club, it has become reality.
New 1 Series and 3 Series models will be available to rent by the hour, day, week or month, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Members can reserve a car online or over the phone from Streetcar, which has taken the country by storm with its innovative idea. Customers simply pay when they need a car rather than budgeting for all the year-round running costs.
It currently runs in London, Brighton, Cambridge, Southampton, Guildford, Maidstone and Oxford, but there are further plans to extend the scheme.
