A VAT chance
January 7, 2010
Car supermarket Motorpoint has bucked the national trend and decided to keep VAT at 15%
Based on a 10-acre site in Newport, the company has decided to absorb the cost of the 2.5% increase for the foreseeable future to ensure its vehicles continue to be the most competitively-priced in the country. Customers will be able to make further savings thanks to the company’s current sale ,which is set to run until the end of this month.
Russell Louth, general manager of Motorpoint Newport said: “We have always prided ourselves on selling the cheapest cars in South Wales which is why we have decided to absorb the VAT increase, saving our customers even more on the thousands of new and nearly new cars that are available at Motorpoint.”
