Dacia’s range-topping Techroad trim

April 1, 2019

Dacia has launched a new range-topping grade that will cost up to £700 extra but adds lots of new kit.

It’s called the Techroad grade and it is being introduced across the Romanian car maker’s line up of Sandero and Logan Stepway models along the Duster SUV.

The move up to Techroad sees the introduction of decals on the outside and additional red detailing on the door mirrors and wheel caps. On the  inside there is extra equipment plus bespoke trim including the model name embroidered into the seat fabric.

The Techroad editions were announced at this year’s Geneva Motor Show and are priced from £11,660 for the Sandero Stepway, £660 more than the equivalent Comfort version, and from £13,160 for the Logan MCV Stepway, £665 more than Comfort spec.

Techroad trim is available with the TCe 90 petrol engine on both Stepway models as well the Blue dCi 95 diesel engine on Logan MCV Stepway.

As well as the extra design features, Stepway models come with Media Nav Evolution multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB Radio and Bluetooth connectivity, soft-feel steering wheel, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, cruise control and speed limiter.

The Duster Techroad costs £16,360 which is £660 more than the equivalent Prestige model, and this car is available with both the TCe 130 and 150 turbocharged petrol engines, as well as the Blue dCi 115 diesel engine in 4×2 and 4×4 configuration.

The Duster Techroad is also equipped with the same technologies that are standard on the Prestige trim, such as rear parking sensors, climate control, hands-free key card, blind spot detection, multi-view camera and the  multimedia system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
