SEAT Exeo 2.0 TDI (143 PS) Sport

Boasting elegant streamlining, a dazzling spec list and blistering performance, the SEAT Exeo is certainly a car that meets any business driver or fan-of-quality driver’s demands.

Admittedly, it’s not really the car for a big family and although there is ample legroom in the back, it’s the driver and front seat passenger who really benefit from all the little luxurious touches throughout.

Derived from the Latin word “exire” which means “to go beyond” the Exeo certainly lives up to its big billing.

From the second you take your place in the body-hugging sporty driver’s seat, you cannot fail to be impressed with the quality surrounding you.

The dashboard is elegantly designed with all dials and readouts in illuminated red on black surfaces, which not only makes them very clear and quick to read, but they are also refreshingly soothing on the eye.

Quality features include dual zone climate control, there are one-touch electric windows, steering wheel mounted audio and phone controls, an eight-speaker MP3 compatible sound system, cruise control, rear parking sensors, tinted rear windows, smart 18-inch alloys and bags more besides.

Comfort levels are very good and all-round visibility is excellent. In and around town, the Exeo glided through busy city centre congestion and then out on the more open road, the 2.0-litre diesel-powered engine really burst into action with outstanding acceleration and superb road holding even on very tight bends.

The smooth six-speed manual transmission was both responsive and neatly grouped and one factor that could not be ignored was the quietness within the cabin… even at higher speeds.

The generously-sized boot is complimented by a number of smaller storage compartments scattered throughout the vehicle.

And as one would expect, SEAT has piled plenty of top notch safety specifications into the Exeo including anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic stability programme, numerous airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system and a whole lot more.

All in all, the Exeo would be the perfect vehicle for the business driver who clocks up thousands of miles every month, but likes to arrive at important meetings feeling fresh and ready to take on the world.
