New arrival to the Audi TT family
February 3, 2017
Audi’s TT range is expanding with the introduction of a 2.0 TDI quattro S tronic model – the third generation successor to the popular quattro diesel coupe and roadster models.
The newcomer has quattro all-wheel-drive and slots into the line-up alongside the established front-wheel-drive TDI. It comes with a six-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission mated to a 2.0-litre 184bhp engine.
The 0-62mph sprint time of 6.7 seconds reflects its traction advantages, compared to 7.1 seconds for the TDI ultra, while top speed is 145mph.
In the roadster, 62mph takes 7.0 seconds to reach, three tenths quicker than the ultra, with a 142mph maximum speed.
Despite now being four-wheel-drive there is only a marginal decrease in fuel consumption. A claimed combined figure of 52.3mpg is achievable on the coupe with carbon emissions of 142g/km. In roadster format, the TT 2.0 TDI quattro S tronic returns up to 50.4mpg, with 147g/km of CO2.
Prices range from £34,230 for the TT Coupe Sport model up to £39,995 for the TT Roadster Black Edition. The car is on sale now with deliveries due in the spring.
