Nissan LEAF completes massive road trip
August 30, 2016
Taking an all-electric vehicle on a massive road trip takes some doing and that’s exactly what Nissan has just accomplished in its LEAF as it took in some of Europe’s most breathtaking rural and coastal driving routes.
The 100 per cent electric LEAF completed six of the most beautiful drives in Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, Scotland and France – including Sicily’s Mount Etna – and historic cities like Granada and Marseille.
It journeyed more than 400 miles on an adventure which showcased its running costs of just £2.50 per 62 miles.
Across Europe, 54 per cent of all drivers would prefer to travel by car rather than by any other form of transport, though many remain concerned about the cost of fuel.
With the LEAF’s 30 kWh battery now offering 155 miles in driving range and as many as 2,800 quick chargers installed across Europe, driving a zero-emission car is more practical and enjoyable than ever before.
